My husband Stéphane and I met in the French Air Force, where I was an aircraft mechanic and he was an air traffic controller. We had some unforgettable experiences and travelled all over the world.
We quickly began to discuss our shared interest in renting out holiday cottages, but fate ultimately led us to the Aix-en-Provence region when we decided to hang up our uniforms and become a childminder and an operational expert in command systems, respectively.
It took a series of family events to give us the courage to start a new project and open these holiday cottages in this corner of paradise, located in the heart of the Ventoux Regional Nature Park, where Provençal nature reigns supreme and invites you to relax.

A small village clinging to the slopes of the Giant of Provence, Beaumont-du-Ventoux has 300 inhabitants and eight hamlets, including the resort of Mont Serein. Among them is a tiny hamlet with a dozen inhabitants: Les Alazards, the last stop before what the locals call... the End of the World.
Les Alazards
At the bottom of the Rieufroid valley, slightly set back from the main road and in a picture-postcard setting, welcome to Les Alazards. On a road lined with orchards and cherry trees, you will discover a pretty stone wash house with fish. A little further up, a second, older wash house with three basins appears.
This is where one of the wildest trails in the Vaucluse begins. And the End of the World appears...
From Les Alazards, take the GR4. This path climbs up the valley and leads to the Saint-Sidoine chapel, set in the middle of a rocky cirque. This small chapel, dating from the early 19th century, was the centre of pilgrimages to pray for rain during severe droughts. This was once a very lively tradition throughout the Ventoux region.
A little further on, as the valley narrows, you finally arrive at Bout du Monde. There are no official signs, no village, just the end of the road, a cul-de-sac lost at the foot of the mountain.
The adventure begins
This is the end of the road for cars and the start of the adventure for walkers. From here, one of the most direct routes to the summit of Ventoux via the Col du Comte begins. The mountain is yours to explore.
